This project was based on a documentary about submitting Mount Everest for a world record. It was a 90 days shoot. The project started in Kathmandu and the last resort was the Everest base camp The work began 2 months before shooting in Nepal as we have to get all the required permits to Shoot in different parts of Kathmandu, solukhumbhu, and Everest base camp. We came in a contact with a logistic management company in Nepal which was looking after the accommodation for our upcoming clients. Our part was to apply for the permits and do all the legal documentation before the crew arrives. We started the work before because the permit for filming on Everest is a lengthy process that takes almost a month. At first, we had to understand all the requirements of the clients so we could gather all the necessary documents from their side. The process began with the collection of the crew's passport, crews details, shooting itinerary, synopsis, license of the drone operator, third-party insurance of drone, equipment list with the price and total weight of the baggage, and filled form provided by the ministry of communication and information technology and the assignment letter for the local coordinator since our client wanted to film from the drone we needed the color picture of the drone and the photo of a serial number in order to register the drone. to fly the drone in nepal we should register the drone. The documents should be first submitted to the ministry of communication and information technology. After the submission of the documents, the ministry will approve the synopsis and will forward the documents to the ministry of defense, ministry of home affairs, ministry of civil aviation, and tourism. Since Everest basecamp lies under the national park, we also need to submit the documents to the department of National Park and wildlife conservation.
